Persephone was the daughter of Zeus and Demeter who was the goddess of Flora and spring... she was abducted by the lusty Hades and taken to the Underworld. As any mother would... her mom had a fit and demanded her back but by eating a few pomegranate seeds she was tied to the underworld forever and therefore able to return every year to her beloved dark lord.  This was the story used to explain the changing seasons. She became a goddess of both the light and the dark, life and death. Sterling silver plated in Rhodium with simulated garnet stones creating a crown like ring with a tiny skull and flowers.
