Turquoise is called the self acceptance stone. It promoted self-esteem and unconditional love. Our hand beaded necklace also has a Hamsa charm pendant in goldtone plated brass with cubic zirconia stones. 

The Hamsa symbol dates back to ancient Mesopotamia where the open right hand is seen in artifacts and in the amulets of the goddess Ishtar.  Other symbols of divine protection based around the hand include the Hand-of-Venus which was used to protect women from the evil eye and/or boost fertility, promote health and strength.
